Yay! Alex is heading back to London! Congratulations. But how will we here on the left bank do without you? Oh well, break a leg anyway.

  6. SO pleased everyone is so pleased! xx It is such a beautiful and challenging piece of theatre, with hugely complex characters and a very dark centre, and I really cannot wait to get started.

It's really interesting, but Carousel was one of my very first shows in Community Theatre (or Amateur Dramatics in the UK). I was a little 12 year old ballerina at the time, and played Louise! I became utterly obsessed with the piece, with musical theatre, (and I fell hopelessly in love with the boy playing the Carnival Boy in the Dream Ballet to boot! ha!) It meant so much to me that I even kept the script with my 12-year-old scrawl still held within it's pages.

Anyway, it's funny how life comes so full circle sometimes.

  7. Hi Alexandra,

I went to watch Carousel in Milton Keynes with my husband and was really impressed. I'm putting an article on Suite101 about it and here's the link:

Seriously I thought you were really good. Keep up the good work. Your performance brought tears to my eyes.

    Lynette.
